About YenHacks

YenHacks collects practical money-saving hacks and time-limited deals for living in and travelling around Japan: transport passes, food, stays, tax-free shopping, visas and paperwork, work spots and more.

Every entry links to where it came from: an official page, a post by someone who lives here, a forum thread or a blog. Each card carries a stamp that tells you how well it is backed:

• 公式 Official: an official or primary page confirms it (operator, government, app store listing, shop's own site).
• 確認済 Confirmed: the original author plus at least one other independent source.
• From the author only: a single source so far. Worth checking before you rely on it.

Deals with an end date drop off the feed once that date has passed (Japan time). Their pages stay up, marked as ended.

Corrections and takedowns

Prices, rules and dates change, and we would rather fix a mistake than leave it up. If an entry is wrong or out of date, or you are the author or rights holder of a source and want it credited differently or removed, email the operator at hello@yenhacks.com with the page link. We aim to reply within a few days and act on valid takedown requests promptly.
