Japan's national art museums are doubling collection prices: go free Nov 3

Six national museums are raising collection-show prices to ¥1,000 (Kyoto MoMAK ¥430→¥1,000 from Oct 24; Osaka NMAO from Dec 1; Tokyo MOMAT, Western Art, Kanazawa Crafts in 2027). On Culture Day, Nov 3, their collection shows are free, and MoMAK Kyoto is free again on Nov 15.
